Tools for the Mobile Spectroscopist

MobiSpec has been specifically designed to take advantage of the features of Microsoft® Windows Mobile 2003^TM.

Nearly all data selection and display operations can be accomplished simply by using the stylus and the context-sensitive pop-up menus.

Zooming is achieved by tapping and dragging the stylus to mark the area of interest with a "rubber-band" cursor. It is also possible to mark vertical-only and horizontal-only zoom ranges, using a pair of horizontal or vertical line cursors, respectively.

Zoomed graphs can be panned horizontally by using the Pocket PC's hardware navigation button.

MobiSpec supports virtually unlimited levels of zoom undo/redo, to allow flexible examination of detail in the data.

Depending on the type of data being viewed, it is possible to link the horizontal axes of two or more graphs, so that zoom and pan operations are applied to all graphs simultaneously.

Any individual graph can be expanded to fill the available screen area, simply by stylus/menu operations.

A high degree of visual customization is provided; the colors of all elements of the display can be chosen by the user, the size of the axis and label fonts is also freely selectable. Optional background grid-lines can be displayed if desired.
