The MobiSpec Evaluation Edition is available for download. The purpose of the Evaluation Edition is to allow you to check for compatibility of MobiSpec with your handheld device, to ensure that your particular form of data files can be viewed using MobiSpec, and to generally get an impression of how useful MobiSpec can be for your application.
When you install MobiSpec Evaluation Edition and agree to the licensing terms, you are agreeing to carry out an evaluation for a period not exceeding 14 days. After this time, if you find MobiSpec useful and wish to continue using it, you are required to purchase a license for one of the full MobiSpec versions, as detailed on the licensing page.
However, if your use of MobiSpec Evaluation Edition is restricted entirely to academic, private, non-commercial purposes, you are granted a license to continue using the Evaluation Edition even after the expiry of the evaluation period.
Note that no support is offered for MobiSpec Evaluation Edition; however, if you should encounter any problems or wish to make any comments, please contact us via evaluation@mobispec.com, to help us improve future versions of the product.
MobiSpec Evaluation Edition supports the following data formats:
MobiSpec is intended to be installed from a desktop PC with an ActiveSync connection to your handheld. Please run the MobiSpec Evaluation Edition 1.0 Installer and follow the instructions on-screen. If it is necessary for you to install directly on your Pocket PC, please contact us to obtain a suitable CAB file.
MobiSpec requires that you have the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework installed on your handheld device. Although this is a standard feature of Windows Mobile 2003, for best performance we recommend that you install the latest version of the CF. This can be downloaded from Microsoft:.NET Compact Framework 1.0 SP2
